The only requirement is that the photos will need to be provided to us in bags or a box and the photos will be scanned and placed into folders of up to 200 in no particular order.

Prior to the digitization of your photos they are cleaned with compressed air to remove loose dust and auto enhancement of each photo is completed post scanning to adjust color, brightness and contrast at no additional cost. Orientation of photos is also corrected where necessary.

To assist you with organizing your photos we can label them with a file name of your choosing and keep them in order for an additional $2.00 per bundle (min 20 photos). If you have notations on the rear of the photo you would like scanned we can also scan the rear of photos for 8¢per photo.

Something Different offers a removal service of photos in album sleeves. and will scan at a resolution of either 300, 600, or 1200 dpi and save them as JPEG files to CD. / USB or the Cloud. If required we will also replace the photos to the album at an additional charge of $20. 

Do you have an Album Name that you would like used as the filename on the photo?    We can apply the name to the filename and give each photo an incremental number while keeping them in order.

• Photos must remove easily from Albums
• Old albums with corners are not included under this pricing
• Photos in albums with sticky backing will need to be quoted.
• Photos will be kept in the order that they are removed if possible.
• Photos will be returned to Small albums with slip in pockets for $15 per album.
• Photos will be returned to Large albums with slip in pockets for $15 per album.

Color negatives are susceptible to color shift over time which can effect some or all parts of a frame and is not easily repairable; hence it is is very important to scan to digital file as early as possible.

We scan negatives of all sizes including 35mm, 126, 110 and all Medium Format sizes. Please contact us for Medium Format pricing as it is dependent on size.

Our standard resolution scans from 35 mm negatives will deliver a jpeg file whose size is around 4.5 megabytes (1500x1000px) when opened (uncompressed). The digital files we return to you are perfect for sharing your pictures digitally, making new prints (up to 4×6 in), for inclusion in video and presentation projects and as digital backups.

We offer a high-resolution scanning option. The high resolution option will deliver a jpeg file whose size is around 17 megabytes (3000x2000px) when opened (uncompressed). This is the best option to produce large prints 12×18″ and above.

The difference between a standard resolution file and a high-resolution file has nothing to do with the quality of the scan but exists only in the size of the file we deliver. Because high resolution scans can take up to three times as long to complete, the charge is higher than the standard resolution scans.
